Life's Questions

Tonight I was talking with one of my best of friends. We started talking about life in general, but also the mysteries of life itself. When making jello for example, there is a process that needs to be followed before the jello can be served. First you need to go through the steps to prepare the jello (pouring the mix, water, and ice.) Then after mixing all of the proper ingredients, it is required for the jello to set for 2 to 4 hours before eating. If this step is not followed than you can count on drinking just flavored water. Yuck!

I have come to find out that life works a lot the same way. Just like the jello, life is a process. As God's children, we have to go through a prolonged process, if you will. The Dream Giver is a book by Bruce Wilkinson (in case anyone is interested) about a man named Ordinary who had a dream, but he lived in the land of Familiar. He wanted so bad just to pursue his dream, but he just wasn't sure quite how to do that. Ordinary had to go through a process to get to his dream. It took a lot of time and hard work. But he came to realize that even after he finally reached the Promised Land, it wasn't all what he had expected it to be. Don't want to ruin the story for those of you who haven't read it yet. Those of you who haven't, please do! It will give you a whole new outlook on life and how you veiw your own personal dreams.

It's been a long journey for me in trying to persue my dream of teaching. But what I have come to find out is that the closer you get to that light at the end of the tunnel the harder it gets. But as my dear friend reminded my tonight, "The time you start giving up, is the time you are about to experience a major breakthrough!" Amen sister! Friends, never give up on your deams, it will do you good. Just keep swimming, just keep swimming, just keep swimming!! :)
