Cease the Day!

I woke up this morning with an exceeding joy in my heart! (Dispite this cold that I have had for the past week.) I started thinking about Peter and everything he went though to be the man of faith that he is today. For example, when Jesus stepped out onto the water, he could see that Peter was in a boat just ahead of him. Peter loved the Lord with all his heart and wanted nothing but to please Him. But when Peter saw that the waves were getting more fierce he was afraid to step out of the boat. Finally, after gaining a little courage, he put one foot outside of the boat with his other foot still inside. Peter cried out, "Lord I am afraid to step out of the boat! The wind is to strong and the waves are too high! I could sink!" Jesus looked at him and said, "Step out of the boat. Don't be afraid; for I am with you." And with that Peter stepped out of the boat and walked over to where Jesus was standing.

As you can see it took Peter a little bit to trust in the Lord to get him across the water safely. As many times as I have read this story it never ceases to amaze me just how good God is. Every time I read it a gain a new perspective along with a great amount of hopefulness for my life. I am most certainly entering a season of change in my life. Even though, I am saddened by the fact that I am moving away from home and trying to get ready for the praxis exam, it is with great anticipation to see what the Lord has in store for me. Just like Peter, I too have a little hint of fear just from waiting in expectation. But again, I hear the Lord, "TRUST ME! TRUST ME!" His beautiful still small voice always melts away any fear I might be holding on too.

So here we go Lord! I'm ready for whatever You have for me. So dear ones, what advice can I leave you with today? Don't be afraid of winds of change. That is the time you will learn to appreiate it the most!
